Sitting in the stands watching the North Queensland Cowboys take on the resurgent Canterbury Bulldogs in Townsville is a fair reward for a Wuchopperen client who participated in the Deadly Choices Smoke Free Futures Survey promotion.
Angela Christie met the Deadly Choices (DC) team during a recent visit to our Manoora Clinic, stopping to have a yarn with the DC team about her personal smoke-free journey having recently quit smoking in the past 6 months. Angela was entered into the draw for tickets for two to a Cowboys home game, after completing the short Smoking and Vaping Survey.
“It’s important that we understand more about why our community smoke” explained Wuchopperen’s Deadly Choices Program Officer, Namin Garling.
“The Deadly Choices Smoke Free Futures Survey is very important to us, it helps us understand why and to what extent our community use tobacco and vaping.
“The feedback re receive helps us plan our activities and support, having tickets available for our community to attend NRL home games in Townsville is a real bonus.”
The Deadly Choices Smoke Free Futures program is designed to promote and celebrate our Mob who are making deadly Choices in their own lives. The program support and facilitates a combination of education as well as clinical support to assist community members to quit tobacco and vaping products.
Angela Christie collected her tickets and merchandise before heading off to Townsville to cheer the Cowboys as they took on the Bulldogs at Queensland Country Bank Stadium.
