Wuchopperen Youth Programs Partner with DIYDG for Record-Breaking Ultimate Games Night

Wuchopperen Youth Programs, in collaboration with Deadly Inspiring Youth Doing Good (DIYDG), presented the annual Ultimate Games Night during Queensland Youth Week in Cairns, attracting over 130 young participants this year.

This year’s event was hosted at the Edmonton Police Youth Club and attracted 13 teams from throughout Cairns.

The event, designed to promote communication and teamwork among teenagers, featured a variety of fun, high energy, fast paced and challenging games in a positive and supportive atmosphere.

This year’s turnout surpassed last year’s record of 80 participants, marking a significant increase and setting a new standard for youth engagement in the community.

Wuchopperen Health Service proudly entered a team of ten members from their youth program, receiving guidance and support from dedicated staff including Kara Ramzam, Nahaya Solomon, Jaeleen Geary, and Katanie-Lee Congoo. Their involvement ensured that the night was enjoyable and rewarding for all participants.

Wuchopperen also sponsored prizes for the winning teams. Each player on the winning team received a $100 Rebel Sport gift card, while two Most Valuable Player (MVP) awards were given out based on sportsmanship.

Wuchopperen’s Deadly Choices’ program contributed two prize packs to be awarded as extra MVP prizes or lucky door prizes, enhancing the excitement of the evening.

“This event is a fantastic way to engage our youth and foster teamwork and communication skills in a fun environment,” said Jamie Gibson, Wuchopperen’s Manager, Youth and Family Services.

“We are thrilled to see such a large turnout and look forward to continuing this partnership with DIYDG for future events.”

Wuchopperen Health Service remains committed to supporting the youth in Cairns, providing opportunities for growth and development. The success of the Ultimate Games Night is a testament to the strength of community partnerships and the ongoing efforts to inspire young people
