The Culturally Appropriate Foster and Kinship Care Service (CAFAKCS) recruits, trains and supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Foster and Kinship Carers to ensure that high quality placements are available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in out of home care.
The position would be suitable for applicants who have experience and knowledge of working with Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander children and their families in the area of child protection.
The above is an Identified position. It is a genuine occupational requirement that an Identified position be filled by an Aboriginal person or Torres Strait Islander person, as permitted by and arguable under section 25, 104 and 105 of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act (1991).
