Wuchopperen is working alongside men, young men and community partners to strengthen men’s health and wellbeing now and into the future.
This work is guided by community voices and focuses on what matters most to men when it comes to health, connection, family and everyday life.
Over the coming months, this work will include community workshops, a Men’s Health Summit, the development of a new four-year Men’s Health Strategy, and activities during Men’s Health Week in June.
Wuchopperen, in partnership with Kunjur Men’s Collective, is hosting a series of Men’s Health Workshops for young men, adult men and Elders.
These workshops are relaxed, activity and yarn-based sessions. They are not presentations or lectures. They are about creating space for men to talk, listen, reflect and share what matters to them when it comes to health and wellbeing.
Some people may want to yarn, others may prefer to listen or take part in activities. There is no pressure to speak.
What is shared during these workshops will help shape the Men’s Health Summit and guide men’s health work in our community for the next four years.
Food and drinks are provided at each workshop.
22 and 23 May 2026
The Men’s Health Summit will bring together community members, partners, service providers and stakeholders over two days to listen, reflect and work through the key issues affecting men’s health.
Across the Summit, there will be opportunities to:
The ideas, priorities and themes that come out of the Summit will directly inform Wuchopperen’s new Men’s Health Strategy.
Following the workshops and Summit, Wuchopperen will develop a new four-year Men’s Health Strategy to guide our work from 2026 onwards.
The Strategy will be informed by:
• What men and young men share during the workshops
• The priorities identified at the Men’s Health Summit
The Strategy will outline key focus areas and actions to strengthen men’s health across programs and services.
The Men’s Health Strategy will be launched during Men’s Health Week in June.
8 to 14 June 2026
Men’s Health Week will run from 8 to 14 June and will include a range of activities delivered across Wuchopperen programs and sites.
Throughout the week, teams will host sessions and activities that support men’s health, wellbeing and connection. These activities will reflect the priorities identified through the workshops and Summit and demonstrate a whole-of-organisation approach to men’s health.
More information about Men’s Health Week activities will be shared closer to the date.
