Culturally Appropriate Foster & Kinship Care Service
Based in Cairns
The position is responsible for providing quality and culturally appropriate placements for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and young people in out of home care. This is achieved through supporting carers, with the ultimate goal of securing and maintaining a stable placement during the child or young person’s time in care.
The position would be suitable for applicants who have experience and knowledge of working with Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander children and their families in the area of child protection.
The above is an Identified position. It is a genuine occupational requirement that an Identified position be filled by an Aboriginal person or Torres Strait Islander person, as permitted by and arguable under section 25, 104 and 105 of the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Act (1991).
