2020 Annual General Meeting

The purpose of the Annual General Meeting is to present to the Members various reports on the Organisation’s activities over the past twelve months. It is also the time to elect Members to fill the vacant positions on the Board of Directors created by resignations or Directors retiring from office at the completion of their two-year term. 

Interested Community Members can attend the Annual General Meeting, but if you wish to vote you must be a Member.

How to become a Member:
Complete the Wuchopperen Membership Application Form and pay a $1.00 Membership Fee.  Anyone who supports the organisation’s objectives can become a member.

What if I am a Member and I cannot attend?
If you are a Member but cannot attend the Annual General Meeting, you can appoint another Member as a proxy. The completed proxy form must be lodged with the organisation no later than 5:00pm, Tuesday, 24th November 2020. You can either post your completed and signed proxy form to the Secretary, PO Box 878, Manunda Qld 4870, email  ea@wuchopperen.org.au or deliver to the Executive Assistant to the Board and CEO, Bama House, Wuchopperen Health Service Limited, 6 Moignard Street, Manoora.

How to become a Board Director:
Members can complete and lodge a nomination form if they wish to nominate to fill a vacant position on the Board. Nomination forms are to be lodged with the organisation no later than 5:00pm on Wednesday, 18th November 2020. 

In accordance with the Constitution, all Board of Directors are required to hold a valid Positive Notice (Blue Card) for Child Related Employment or a Positive Notice (Blue Card) in a Volunteer Capacity. On the 31st August 2020, Blue Card Services have implemented the No Card, No Start Legislation. This means that all Nominees for Directorship are required to hold a valid Blue Card.

You can post your completed and signed nomination form to the Secretary, PO Box 878M, Manunda Qld 4870 or deliver to the Executive Assistant to the Board and CEO, Bama House, Wuchopperen Health Service Limited, 6 Moignard Street, Manoora.

*Only Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander members are eligible for a position on the Board.
